The Pod is a triannual newsletter published by the Canadian Orca Rescue Society (CORS). All the Orca news that's fit to print delivered to your inbox three times a year. The Pod features articles about Orca research and conservation, activities related to Orca Clubs in schools, and ways you can participate in helping to protect the southern resident Orcas of the Salish Sea.
CORS is committed to finding solutions to the threats to Orca survival. To save the Orcas in the Salish Sea we must halt climate change. The task may seem impossible, but it can be done — one salmon hatchery at a time, one old-growth forest at a time, one Orca Club at a time.
As our membership and base of support grows, so will the rate of our successes.
By supporting CORS, you become a ray of light. Collectively we can be a beacon of hope in the gloom, shine a spotlight on the threats to south Vancouver Island’s unique ecosystems, and turn things around for the good of the planet. Everything is connected. Everything is interdependent.
Stay up to date with the latest news about the souther resident Orcas and the Salish Sea
